3. Mrs Susan Janfa, former Secretary to the State Government, wife of late Silas Janfa, Senator of the Federal Republic.
All widowed in their 70s,
their husbands were school mates at the prestigious Boys Secondary School Gindiri in the '60s.
The ladies were all schoolmates at Queen Elizabeth School Ilorin in the '60s.
All currently members of
1. St Pirans Church Jos
2. Golden Girls Club of Jos
3.Association of Retired Perm Secs Plateau State.
In their heyday they were members of
1. The Horticultural Society of Jos
2. National Council of Women Societies
3. Gideon's Club International
It's interesting how they came from different states, Nana Gofwen from Kebbi State, Aunty Sue from Niger State and Mama Mamven from Adamawa State, married young men from Plateau State and created lives for themselves in Jos that sometimes it's difficult to remember that they were not originally from Jos.
Now in their twilight years, they remain firm friends, the trajectory of their lives woven together.
I have always known them and treasure them dearly. They have contributed to the development of the state and are qualified to be regarded as icons.
