The Guild of Stewards is one of the activity groups in the Church and is made up of about sixteen (16) members (both males and females). This dedicated group of workers has specific functions which span the following:
i) Providing opportunity for the promotion of uniformity amongst its members in the orderly conduct of Church services and in all other canonical functions of the Stewards in the Church.
ii) Ensuring that all worshippers are properly seated and given the church bulletin;
iii) Ensuring that the proper flow of service is not disrupted by late-comers or children and controlling all movements;
iv) As much as possible, reduce noise-making;
v) Ensuring the proper collection of tithes, offerings, offertory, first fruits and pledges for onward transmission to the church office
vi) Ensuring proper counting and recording of all such monies and cheques collected and transmitting them to the People’s Warden for safe-keeping;
vii) Proper ushering of members going for the Holy Communion.
viii) Any other assigned duties by the Vicar/Clergy.
As stewards in the house of God, all members of the Guild are therefore expected to be embodiment of decency, discipline and orderliness. Every member must therefore give his/her best for the glory of God at all times.
